About us

We even have a specially built disabled kart with handlebars which has the throttle and brake on them instead of a conventional steering wheel and pedals. This has proved very popular for karters who have little or no mobility in their legs.

Karttrak Cromer now has the De Haardt Xtra Safety System in place. This can be used on every kart on the track or just one individually, making the safety of all our customers a number one priority. The safety system enables the track marshals to bring all karts to a stop at the press of a button in the event of a dangerous situation. It also allows the marshals to slow down an individual if they look like they are having problems or losing control of the kart. It can also be used for nervous young karters to start them off slowly, giving them more power as they begin to build confidence. This helps put the parent’s minds at rest!

Karttrak Cromer has an expanding customer base situated throughout the UK, including large and small companies, clubs and associations, families on holiday, school groups, and stag and hen parties. A well attended Youth Club runs every second Sunday for our up and coming Lewis Hamiltons or Max Verstappens.

All ages from 8 upwards (minimum height 134cm) are welcome. Previous experience is not necessary, as our fully trained staff will be more than happy to help improve your kart control, and help you knock those vital 1000ths off lap times.

There is no upper age limit to come karting as long as you are fit and well and have no medical issues that would prevent you driving on the road. There is an upper weight restriction of 20 stone, but this also depends on body shape to ensure you can safely operate the kart pedals and steering wheel (steering wheel must not touch your body for safe operation). The largest helmets we carry are XXXL if you cannot fit this size helmet safely you would not be able to kart unless you brought your own helmet (full face or motocross style with goggles.)
